Backlash is almost nonexistent in belt-driven systems, making a belt reducer a very good option for precise applications. This system uses a T5 belt-pulley mechanism, which is much easier to print than a typical GT2 system.
The total assembly requires 4 M3 screws, an M6 threaded rod, and 5 M6 nuts. It can be stacked indefinitely as long as the threaded rod is long enough. Each stage provides a reduction of 1:4, resulting in a 1:64 reduction in the video.
In the future I will try to print the belts out of tpu, it should work pretty well.
I use this system for my homemade wire EDM machine, which requires very slow movements.
