This is a star I built to top our Christmas tree. I am using an addressable LED strip and an ESP32 running the WLED project. Its USB-powered, WiFi-controlled, and lots of fun!
This is designed to hold exactly half a meter (50cm) of LED strip. I used a hot glue gun to keep everything in place (the LED strip, the board, and the cover).
Parts needed
- ESP32 Microcontroller (I'm using the WROVER-B from here)
- LED strip (I'm using WS2812B from here)
- Logic Level Shifter to get 5V data signal to the LEDs (I'm using this)
- Breadboard and Wires
