Overview
The Plus 4 has a bit more height than I wanted for my shelving solution. Replacing the stock spool holder seemed like the best option. The side mounted spool holder uses the same stock screws and mounting fixture as the stock version, it supports up to 1 kg rolls.
Printing
I suggest printing this model on it's back as shown in the image below:
Printing this way ensures a smooth finish on the filament mount. Alternatively you could print it flat on it's bottom with just some supports on the top voronoi row and mounting hole, but it leaves a bit to be desired on the filament mount. Trees seemed to work better and use a little less filament than standard supports. I used these settings:
Nozzle: .4
Filament: PLA/PETG
Layer Height: .2
Supports: Yes
