Add a power switch on the front of the Creality K1 or K1C if you don't feel like reaching into the back of the device.... I have no idea what screen the K1 max uses, but it may be the same screen.
It does not use the factory-installed switch designed for this KCD3 switch:

you need to have electrical knowledge as it will require custom wiring
I used part of an old PC cable and an old IEC14 plug, so no permanent changes, everything can be reversed.
For the connect I used m3 x 10mm plugs or hot glue
