Description

This custom-designed bracket for the Prusa MK4 3D printer provides an innovative solution for mounting the Multi-Material Unit (MMU) on the side of the printer, rather than the traditional top position. By shifting the MMU's placement to the front side of the printer, this bracket allows the printer to operate in spaces with limited height, ensuring that the setup remains compact while still maintaining full functionality.

The bracket is fully compatible with the Prusa MK4, as well as the MK3.5 and MK3.9 models, making it a versatile upgrade for a range of Prusa printers. It allows easy access to the MMU for maintenance and operation, ensuring the unit remains user-friendly despite its repositioned location.

The design maintains all necessary mounting points and provides a stable, secure hold for the MMU, reducing the need for modifications to the printer itself. The side-mounted setup keeps the MMU within reach while optimizing vertical space, making it an ideal choice for setups in cramped or constrained environments.

For users with older, narrower printer frames, the file labeled "*_old" should be used, as it is specifically designed to fit these frames.

This bracket is an excellent option for users who need to save space but do not want to sacrifice the ease of access required for regular maintenance and operation of the MMU system.

This Print also offers plenty options for small zipties to help with your cable management.

If you use the bottom holder with camera mount, you can add accessories from the Articulating Raspberry Pi Camera Mount.

Note to material usage

when printed with materials subsceptible to warping, the print might not fit.

I used PC which did warp slightly. I had to remove a bit of material in the section, where the print slides into the frame of the printer.
