About:
I designed this Raspberry Pi case combined with the Display Mount for my Ender-3 V3 SE after struggling to find one that suited my needs when I wanted to add an OctoPrint to my printer.
It holds a full-sized Raspberry Pi and lets you power it directly via GPIO, while also routing the remaining GPIO pins back for things like buttons, relays, lights, and more — you can also use my Raspberry Pi Expansion Board for this.
Before you begin:
To connect the display, you’ll either need to re-crimp the stock cable from display side or make your own.
To power your Raspberry Pi, you have a few options:
- Install a 5V 3A power supply inside the printer.
- Connect the Raspberry Pi directly to the 5V and GND pins on the printer's mainboard.
- Remix my model by adding a hole for a micro USB or USB-C connector, depending on your Raspberry Pi version.
