My washing machine (Siemens IQ-500) had never had its lint filter cleaned for eight years, so one day it just stopped with error. Trying to open it by hand was not successful. I watched few videos how people do it, using all kinds of tools, so decided to build my own.
This is a very simple design, that does the job. It is basically a cylinder with an 8mm wide and 25mm deep slot, which reasonably firmly grasps the handle of the lint filter.
Printed the model in PETG just in case, but probably any material will do. Used the coarser settings for my nozzle size:
Nozzle size: 0.6mm
Layer height: 0.4mm
Infil: 20%
Infil pattern: gyroid
I do not usually enable calling for PETG.
This resulted in a rather sturdy piece for me. Print in the default orientation, with the slot upright.
You need an 8mm diameter rod or another object like screwdriver or an Allen key to turn it.
