This is a modified version of the Prusa accelerometer bracket for the Nextruder that works with E3D ObXidian High Flow Prusa Nextruder nozzles (and probably with E3D brass HF nozzles too).

For installation and usage, please refer to Prusa's Accelerometer Support Page. For information about the accelerometer, please refer to the product page.

Problem

E3D High Flow nozzles have a different shape than the stock Prusa nozzles. The hexagonal head on the E3D nozzles is 3mm taller while the heat break tubing is shorter.

When attaching the acceleromater with the original bracket, the additional height of the hexagonal head of the E3D HF nozzles prevents the bracket from sliding all the way up on the heater block and snapping securely in place.

Solution

This modified bracket has the section below the heater block lengthened in order to accommodate the additional height of the E3D nozzles.

The bracket has been tested with ObXidian High Flow nozzles. High Flow Brass nozzles might work as well but have not been tested.

Printing

Print the part in the original orientation. The STL file has been pre-rotated into the right orientation for printing.

Note: Don't forget to also print the “Accelerometer Cover R2” (not shown in the photos) from the original project.
Recommended Settings

The original documentation recommends the following settings:

  • Print profile: “0.20mm STRUCTURAL” built-in PrusaSlicer profile
  • Material: Prusament PETG Black
  • Infill: 15% Grid

Bonus

A STEP file of the original bracket, recreated from Prusa's STL, is included in the Bonus folder in the Files tab to facilitate easier remixing to create brackets for other 3rd-party nozzles.
