I'm not sure if many people operate SeaBotix ROVs any more, but I figured I might as well post this just in case anyone else has lost or broken their original tether handle!
This is a crank handle to allow the tether reel to be easily wound in and out. As far as I know, it should fit any SeaBotix LBV tether reel; the drive is an 8-point “double-square” that measures 7/10"/17.75mm across the flats. There is also a rotating grip on the handle for comfort, and the handle can be stored inside the reel.
Filament - I recommend using a strong filament such as ASA or ABS.
Support Material - I used supports for the handle (only in the drive socket) and on the drive pin, although this may not be necessary.
Extra parts required - You will also need 2x M3 heat-set inserts and 2x countersunk M3 screws at least 8mm long. See pictures for assembly details.
Note - The rotating grip is not symmetrical; one end has a fillet to fit the matching fillet on the handle. Make sure it is installed the correct way, and make sure the part is printed with the non-filleted (flat) end on the print bed.
