This is my version of the (not yet FPV) drift kart build, constructed from brushless FPV drone components. The BeeKart AcroBee65 Brushed Car Conversion inspires it.
It uses this betafpv AIO board, not because it's the best, but because I had it lying around.
The motors are iFlight Xing Nano X1204, with a 4500KV rating. They might not be available anymore, but similar-sized motors might probably work if the wheels are adapted.
Currently, it is set up with an ELRS receiver only, but it does work with the DJI FPV system. I don't have the mounts designed yet.
I run it on 4S 450mAh batteries, and it lasts quite a long time on one battery.
To be able to control it, I had to limit the motor output to less than 40%. The mixer is the same as described here.
Due to the larger motors and battery, it's not suitable for indoor driving (unless you have a gym or similar facilities), but it's pretty enjoyable outside. It is somewhat difficult to control and tends to flip easily if you drift sideways into small bumps, such as a gravel rock on the road. Because my earlier prototype kept breaking every 2 minutes, I reinforced everything and made it modular, so you can replace individual parts easily.
The wheels and bumper are printed in 40D TPU, while the rest is made of PLA; however, other materials can also be used. The wing is going to be TPU in the next version as well, as it absorbs some impacts when flipping and flying around.
I recorded a test with an earlier prototype:
