The square ladder rungs of the roost 43 front loft ladder were pretty painful on your feet so I made these rung extensions i guess you could call them, they make the rung wider and act as a housing to add a 5mm tpu pad on top.
i printed these on an x1c but they are too long so you need to cut them in half in the slicer and add connectors i used x2 dowels, the tpu pads i cut in half as well but off set the joint of the pad and the rung and the pads dont need connectors obviously. They are attached with x4 ¾ self tapping screws.
- top rung extension and pad have been added
Material and print settings:
I printed the rungs in Petg-cf at 4 walls and about 50% cubic infill.
I printed the tpu pads at 4 walls and 10% gyroid infill
Print orientation:
I printed them with the finished end (not cut side) down on the plate and enabled auto tree support for the holes. Tpu pads i just printed textured side up..
