This base plate will help you customize your detachable (MIK) bicycle crate without damaging it, so that, for example you could use it as your own trolley crate in the supermarket without needing to transfer your groceries to a separate bag at checkout. Just push the filled crate to the bicycle storage, and remount it using the MIK key.

Designed for 50 mm castor wheels designed for M4 screws/bolts, and BASIL bicycle crate which is compatible with the MIK system (EAN: 8715019211478 for example).

Secure each castor wheel with 4x M4 bolts with nylon-insert locking nuts, and this 3D printed plate as shown in the pictures.

Distance between non-diagonally aligned adjacent holes: 25 mm (1 inch)

Indicated print time is for 1 piece. You need 4 of these.

Customize additional clearance plate if you need more ground clearance, but it shouldn't be necessary.

Material: PETG

Print settings I used:

  • Infill: 40%
  • Wall Line Count: 4
  • Supports: None
