This is winning NO beauty contests but it works like a charm. The plastic handle on my hamper tore and Ive tried repairing it with JB Weld + Paracord wrap but no luck. I designed this to be applied with a basic Paracord Wrap(Small YT Tutorial - not me). Ive included photos of what tear I was attempting to fix and how the brace it is wrapped onto the handle. I am sorry I literally just started learning blender and this is the best I could come up with. Hopefully someone could save $20 that has the same hamper and problem.
You could even just print this out for both sides and reinforce it before it breaks!
These are the materials/hamper in the photos:
- Hamper: Home-Logic-2-5-Bu-XL
- Paracord: Paracord Grey 4mm 100ft
- Filament: FlashForge Titanium PETG
Quick Measurement:
- 18FT of paracord(4mm) was used for the wrap
- The link to the paracord is for 100FT. You could get 50FT to save money
Now I understand that a new hamper could cost anywhere from $15-$25 and the $8 in paracord and $0.50 in plastic may not be worth it, but it should extend the life of the hamper hopefully to the point that it is.
PARACORD WRAP TIPS:
Wrap it TIGHT. It may take some practice and time but I have fun with it and its a good skill to know. I tied all the handles before the one that broke, broke on me and it gets easier after each one. I tied the ends off and used a lighter to melt the plastic ends so the cord does not unravel.
