I designed this spool holder to be used with the Aukuoy enclosure from Amazon. It should also work with any other enclosure using rods with an 8mm diameter (see picture for reference).
The spool holder works for 1kg spools and has a mounting point for a ptfe tube. The ptfe tube can be pushed into the hole and will hold in place. I've tested this with multiple types of ptfe tube. Only the capricorn tubing won't work as it has a smaller outer diameter.
REQUIRED HARDWARE
- M3 x 8mm screw (x6)
- M3 x 5mm(w) x 4mm(l) threaded insert (x6)
PRINTING
- Print in the orientation and use supports as shown in the picture below:
- A brim may need to be used for the mounts.
- It's recommended to print in PETG but better in ABS/ASA as it can get quite warm in these enclosures.
- 0.2mm layer height and 3 walls.
