🧰 I had this wooden toolbox a family friend made with me when I was a kid — recently rediscovered it and wanted a way to store my tools neatly.
While looking for ideas, I found the awesome Modular Pen & Tool Holders by LIBRE Hub @WenzelLab They’re modular, connectable, and super handy — so I remixed them to perfectly fit my wooden crate!
⚙ My Remix
Adjusted bin size to half the width of my tool crate and matched the height to my crate (8 cm)
“OpenTool” Sizes:
- Single box ≈ 7 × 7 cm
- Double box ≈ 7 × 14 cm
A few layout variants (e.g. 3×3 for pens, ones for hammers, bosch laser measure, etc.) are included as STLs.
Added a simple stopper that can be screwed in with a Spax screw to keep everything secure.
These snap together just like the originals — still modular, just adjusted for a compact wooden toolbox.
