Description:

This is a docking station designed primarily for the CMF Buds 2a case (but it may also fit other CMF/Nothing cases — the Buds 2a case measures 55 × 55 × 23 mm). The docking station consists of the following parts:

  • Legs with four holes for 10 mm rubber feet.
  • Bottom and a Top part that hold the charging case, punch and enclose the cable head.
  • Punch, used to easily eject the buds case when pressed.

The docking station is adapted for a USB-C cable head sized 10 × 6,5 mm. Additionally, two untested versions are included:

  • One for the Apple USB-C cable.
  • The other is a “universal” version for larger heads up to approximately 12 × 6 mm.

Hardware needed:

  • 4 × adhesive rubber feet, 10 mm diameter × ~10 mm height (or similar).
  • 2 × M4 × 6 mm screws.
  • (Optional but recommended for securing the cable head tightly) 2 × M4 × 20 mm screws.
  • (Optional) tape to wrap the cable head if it sits too loosely.

Print Settings & Instructions:

  • Material: PLA is sufficient.
  • Orientation: Print the top, bottom, and legs laying flat, and the punch standing upright (as shown in the provided G-code file).
  • Supports: Only necessary under the holes for the M4 × 20 mm screws. Also optional to add on the overhangs at the bottom of the top and bottom part.

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Insert the plug and cable head into the bottom part.
    1. (If using the “universal” parts, wrap tape or a shim around the cable head until it sits snugly).
  2. Click the top part onto the assembled bottom section and secure it with the two optional M4 × 20 mm screws.
  3. Attach the legs to the sides of the assembly using the two M4 × 6 mm screws.
  4. Finally, stick the adhesive rubber feet to the underside of the legs (in the 10 mm holes).

Final Note:

Enjoy your print and assembly! Feel free to share feedback or makes if you test the Apple or universal versions — it helps refine compatibility for others.
