[English] A practical and straightforward 20cm ruler, designed for easy 3D printing.

This model is perfect for your desk, workshop, or as a handy tool to include in a 3D printing toolkit. It features clear, raised markings for centimeters and millimeters, ensuring easy reading and durability.

I've included versions for both single-color and multi-color printing, making it easy to create a ruler with high-contrast markings for better readability.

Printing Details & Recommendations:

  • No Supports Needed: The design prints easily without any support structures.
  • Optimal Layer Settings:
    • First Layer: 0.20 mm for a strong and stable foundation.
    • Subsequent Layers: 0.16 mm for smooth surfaces and sharp detailing on the markings.
  • Purge/Prime Tower: Not required, but using one is recommended to ensure the cleanest start for the fine markings and a consistent extrusion flow.
  • Material: Standard PLA is recommended for its dimensional stability and ease of printing.
  • Silk filament is not recommended, as it can obscure the fine measurement markings and reduce legibility.

Color Printing Guide:

  • For a Single-Color Ruler: Use the standard .stl file. To create a two-tone ruler with a different color for the base and markings, simply pause the print at Layer 10 (at a height of 1.64 mm) and change the filament to a contrasting color.
  • For a Multi-Color Ruler: Use the  .3mf file included in the package (see file names). These are ready for use on printers with multi-material capabilities.
