Introducing M3/M4 Nut/Insert Miniature Vice feets with optional O-Rings
I used the power of nuts and inserts and added the option of using M3 screws, which are generally more popular. I also added optional O-rings, which improve the grip on the desk.
What you will need?
You can choose between version 1 and version 2 (with O-Rings).
If you choose version 1 you will need only:
M3:
M3x12 (for Nut or Insert version) or M3x10mm (for Insert version only) screws (4x)
M3 Nuts or M3x5x4.2 inserts (4x)
M4:
M4x12 (for Nut or Insert version) or M4x10mm (for Insert version only) screws (4x)
M4 Nuts or M4x5x4.2 inserts (4x)
If you choose version 2 you will need additionally:
10x1.5mm O-Rings (4x)
Any glue (to glue the O-RIngs)
Print instructions:
You can print with PETG, PLA, or other filaments, but PETG is the most optimal.
The layer I tested is 0.2 mm.
You can choose the wall loops or infill pattern and its % yourself. My settings are: 3 wall loops, gyroid 15%.
!!! Use Arachne Wall Generator !!!
What's more:
The dimensions and tolerances are selected so that any calibrated printer can handle it.
You can download my .3mf file, prepared for Bambu Lab A1.
If your nuts are too loose, don't worry. You can glue them in place.
