Dreidel Duel Game Manual

Spin once for chance, twice for glory!

Double Spin Dreidel takes the classic holiday game and adds a daring twist. Spin the Action Dreidel to set your move, then decide if you’ll risk the Multiplier Dreidel for bigger rewards — or bigger losses. Easy to learn, fast to play, and full of suspense, it’s the perfect mix of tradition and high‑stakes fun.

Overview

Double Dreidel is a modern twist on the traditional dreidel game. Players spin two dreidels — one for action and one for an optional multiplier — to gain or lose chips. The game combines chance with strategy, as players must decide whether to risk spinning the multiplier dreidel.

Components

  • Action Dreidel

    • Faces: 1, 3, -1, -2

    • Determines the pending action.

  • Multiplier Dreidel (optional)

    • Faces: ×1, ×2, ×3, ×-1.

    • Modifies the pending action.

  • Chips

    • Numeric chips (values 1, 5, 10).

    • Optional negative chips (–1, –5) for advanced play.

Setup

  1. Each player starts with 0 chips.

  2. Place a central pot in the middle of the table.

  3. Decide whether to play Basic Mode (Action Dreidel only) or Advanced Mode (Action + optional Multiplier Dreidel).

How to Play

  1. Spin the Action Dreidel → reveals a pending number.

    • Example: 2 means you could gain 2 chips.

    • Example: -1 means you could lose 1 chip.

  2. Decision Point → choose one:

    • Stop: Do nothing. The pending action is ignored.

    • Risk It: Spin the Multiplier Dreidel.

  3. Resolve the Outcome:

    • Multiply the pending action by the multiplier result.

    • Example: Action = 2, Multiplier = ×2 → gain 4 chips.

    • Example: Action = -1, Multiplier = ×3 → lose 3 chips.

    • Example: Action = 3, Multiplier = ×1 → gain 3 chips.

    • Example: Action = 1, Multiplier = –1 → lose 1 chip.

Winning

  • The first player to reach 20 chips wins.

  • Optional rule: If the pot runs out, the player with the most chips wins.

Variations

  • Double Spin Mode: Spin the Action Dreidel twice before deciding on the multiplier.

  • Negative Chip Mode: Use special –1 or –5 chips to make losses more dramatic.

  • Race Mode: Instead of chips, track points. First to 50 points wins.

Notes

  • The multiplier dreidel is optional each turn — players choose whether to risk it.

  • The game is designed for 2–6 players.

  • Average playtime: 15–20 minutes.

Enjoy!
