I've often found eyehooks a pain to screw in; this tool adapts a socket to allow you to drive a 20mm eyehook.

A 20mm eyehook refers to its length; the standard one has a 2mm wire gauge with 9mm of thread. The eye is approximately 10mm outside and 6mm inside.

The outer shape of this adapter suits a 12-pointed 13mm socket. I used the lower end of the dimensional tolerance on a nut to size this part; it should be snug in the socket, but that may depend on your print settings. The slot should be snug on the eyehook.

This one was printed in PETG with a 0.6mm nozzle and 0.24mm layers. It's got 3 perimeters and 25% fill with a 3D fill pattern.

EDIT: 14 Dec 2025

I've added an alternative model which can fit directly into the chuck of a battery drill/driver: Eye Bit / Driver
