Designed to snap or hang directly onto the horizontal tubes of standard heated towel rails, it has been thoroughly tested for months under real-world conditions, successfully withstanding both constant heat and weight.
💡 The Secret to its Durability (Maker's Note)
After several mechanical and thermal tests, I came to a crucial conclusion: printing this hook hollow lasts significantly longer than printing it solid (100% infill).
The internal air chamber trapped inside acts as a thermal insulator, preventing the constant heat from the radiator from softening the core of the plastic over time.
📐 Print Settings (Crucial for Heat Resistance)
To achieve the exact same durability and heat resistance as the tested version, please follow these guidelines:
Material: PETG (Highly recommended for bathroom/radiator environments. Do not use standard PLA as the heat will deform it).
Supports: No supports needed! (Print flat on its side).
Infill: 0% (Hollow). Trust the physics—the internal air pocket improves thermal performance.
Perimeters (Walls): 4 to 5 walls. This gives the hook its entire structural strength since it has no infill.
Layer Height: 0.20mm works perfectly.
