English description below
https://www.printables.com/model/1402621-onstep-smart-hand-controller-2-case
- Alle Teile gemäß Projekt-Beschreibung (s.o.), Ausnahme Schiebeschalter (s.o)
- Schmelz-Gewindeeinsätze M3 und dazu passende Schrauben (M3 x 20)
- Selbstschneidende Schrauben für Display und Akku-Abdeckung (4 Stück 2x4mm, 4 Stück 3x4mm, 2
Stück 2,6x5mm)
- LiPo-Akku 1800 mAH – 103450-110 (Maße: 50x34x10 mm)
Drucktips:

For the fantastic OnStep project by Howard Dutton (https://onstep.groups.io/g/main), here is an enclosure for the Smart Hand Controller 2 (SHC-2).
All information on how to build the SHC-2 and where to obtain a partially assembled PCB can be found on the OnStep project page: https://onstep.groups.io/g/main/wiki/7152
This enclosure is a remix of:
https://www.printables.com/model/1402621-onstep-smart-hand-controller-2-case
Many thanks to Joesy5 for making his enclosure available here!
Important: Since I was unable to source the slide switch specified in the SHC-2 BOM, the enclosure is designed for the switch I used, which protrudes beyond the edge of the PCB (see pictures).
The LEDs of the battery charging module are unfortunately much too bright. Therefore, I covered them with two layers of red insulating tape to reduce the brightness.
My 1.54" display is white, which, in combination with the red filter foil, results in a pleasant red display.
Required materials (see pictures):
- All parts according to the project description (see above), except for the slide switch (see above)
- Heat-set threaded inserts M3 and matching screws (M3 × 20)
- Self-tapping screws for the display and battery cover (4 pcs 2×4 mm, 4 pcs 3×4 mm, 2 pcs 2.6×5 mm)
- LiPo battery 1800 mAh – 103450-110 (dimensions: 50 × 34 × 10 mm)
Printing tips:
Material: PLA or PETG (if used in sunlight)
Nozzle: 0.4 mm
Perimeters: 3 – otherwise there may be problems when inserting the threaded inserts
Infill: Gyroid, 15%
Supports: none
Printer: FDM – my parts were printed on a Prusa MK4S
