This completely replaces the power connector assembly meaning this mod is reversible (although it probably voids your warranty).

Parts needed:

  • 2 M3x10 cap-head screws

  • 2 M3x5x4 heat set inserts

  • 2-pin Powerpole connector with cut-to-fit wires and ring terminals

  • Ferrites for the internal power leads (optional but they're on the factory connector)

The connector has an ok friction fit, but to ensure it doesn't slide back into the radio I superglued it to the inner print. One could definitely make a part that uses the Powerpole joiner, but I'm fine sacrificing a connector to this radio.

Printed in clear PETG for strength, but I'm sure PLA would be fine as long as you're not beating on it.
