Model Description
This 3D model is an enclosure for the ESP32-S3 Development Board N16R8
(board size: 2.28 inch × 1.1 inch), designed for use as a WLED controller with pre-soldered pin headers.
The enclosure provides space for:
* ESP32-S3 development board
* XT60E-F female power connector
* Internal wire connections (e.g. WAGO connectors)
Two enclosure variants are included:
* With mounting ears
* Without mounting ears
Firmware / Software Setup
The board was flashed using:
* WLED web installer: https://wled-install.github.io/
* Selected target: "ESP32-S3 (16MB Flash, OPI FLASH, with Audio reactive Usermod)"
Standard WLED setup process was followed.
Other Use Cases
Although designed around WLED usage, the enclosure can also be used for non-WLED ESP32-S3 projects as long as the board dimensions and connector layout are compatible.
Electrical / LED Testing
* Tested with SK6812 LED strip
* Power input via XT60E-F female connector
* Outgoing wires can be secured using zip ties for strain relief
* Glue was used to secure the pin header in this build (optional)
Printing Information
Tested materials:
* PLA
* PETG
Supports required:
* Power connector opening: support required
* USB port opening: support may be required; may print successfully without support depending on printer and settings
* Print the cover flipped upside down, with the flat outer face touching the build plate. This orientation minimizes overhangs and significantly reduces the need for supports.
Other materials may work if dimensional accuracy is maintained
