I recently got a filament dryer from Creality, a Space Pi. I believe it is normal behavior, with the heating element being there, but the bottom is heating quite a bit and was heating my floor too much for my linking so I created a small riser to allow some air to circulate underneath it.
My printer has only 220 on X and Y and I had to split the model in two and add a connector piece.
For those of you with build volume smaller than 240 print either: SPACE PI RISER SPLIT (the one in the photos) or SPACE PI RISER SPLIT ALTERNATE (alternative design for the holes with larger openings)
If you have larger build volume than 240 print SPACE PI RISER ONE PIECE ALTERNATE.
The SPLIT models need support only on the edges where the connecting pieces go. The ONE PICE doesn't need supports.
Print in something that can take the heat. I printed mine in PCTG and its working great. PETG should work also.
L.E. Note: After printing flip it around so the text FRONT is facing up, position it twords the front of the Pi and it should fit tightly in the slot and hold it in place.
