for those that don't know my ‘insert philosophy’ - I am creating modular inserts that are focused on reducing setup and space on table, filament consumption is not my highest priority, but of course I'm trying to save some material where I can.

Update 01.11.2026 - version 1.1:

• 4 holders redesigned:

  • Tech Tiles Holder - now it includes 3 shelves, for each tech tiles category, so you can take out the shelves and put it on the board,

  • Resources Holder - different dimensions to accomodate for new tech tiles holder,

  • Aliens Amoeaba Glyphids Holder - different dimensions to accomodate for new tech tiles holder:

    • it's now stored in setup holder,

    • it has separate holder for glyphids tokens,

  • Cards Holder - if you have 1.0 version you do not need to print it, I've removed VP tokens and added small finger holes to improve taking out the holder from the box,

• updated description and pictures.

Important Notes:

• If you want to acquire commercial licence for this model, visit my club page on printables,

• my inserts are without lid lift unless I specifcally state otherwise,

• Clearence for holder covers is very small - 0.2mm horizontal. Please print the smallest holder and cover for it to check if it fits, if not you may need to calibrate printer or enlarge cover a bit (adding 0.2-0.4mm to the width in the slicer should be enough),

• card holders - they're quite tight, so in order to put all cards you may need to squeeze them in.

Supports:

• vertical storage,

• Space Agencies expansion,

• should support promo cards,

• sleeves - this is mainly design for 70 microns sleeves (I use Sloyca). Card holders are pretty tight, so you won't be able to squezze thicker sleeves. It does not support sleeves for organization cards (I couldn't find any sleeves compatible with them though).

This insert features:

• player components holder - everything that player needs during setup (except starting income cards, they're stored in setup holder),

• aliens holders - everything related to alien species (except for boards, boards for them are stored in setup holder). As alien holders are pretty similar, look at the file names or refer to pictures and match holders by the size of the top groove),

• cards holder - cards holder for main deck, rival and quick start cards. 2-point tokens are also stored there. Take it out and put it on the table,

• tech tiles, futurespan and signal tokens holder - there is also space for for example replacement tokens,

• setup holder - for everything else.

Requirements:

• about 501g filament needed, (depends on your settings, I printed with 12% gyroid infill, 2 walls, 4 top and 3 bottom layers, 0.42 line width), 

• at least 206mm x 150mm print bed (maybe lower if you rotate the holder).

Instructions:

Supports - no supports required.

• every file ended with xX (for example x16) - print X times (in given example - 16 times),

• refer to pictures how to organize the box.

What future holds:

• maybe I will update it when new expansion comes, but I'm not sure if there will be enough space for it without massive lid lift. There is some space left here and there, but probably in new expansion new alien species will come, for them I don't see any space left.
