About this model: A unique, aesthetically striking 3D printed dice designed to be a conversation piece. This model was created using high-quality dual-color filament, resulting in a distinct split between gold and cyan-blue tones depending on the viewing angle.
What makes this model special is the variety of features on each face:
Top Face: Features a functional central indentation, perfect as a small desk organizer for a single pen or calibration tool.
Gold Face: Showcases three custom-designed, detailed geometric inserts (like starbursts/clovers) that add intricate detail to the design.
Cyan Face: A standard dice face configuration with four smooth, simple pips for a clean look.
This is a great model to test dual-color or silk filaments and to show off intricate surface textures and layer quality.
Print Settings & Recommendations:
Material: Works best with Silk PLA or Dual-Color/Chameleon PLA. PETG can also be used for a tougher finish.
Nozzle: 0.4mm standard, though 0.2mm could highlight the inserts even more.
Layer Height: 0.2mm is fine, but 0.12mm or 0.16mm will significantly enhance the intricate top and face inserts.
Infill: 15-20% Gyroid or Grid is recommended for internal support, as it has a central hole.
Supports: The pips and inserts are designed to be self-supporting. No external supports should be needed.
