Charging the ev at home is great, but having to pick up and deal with a muddy cable all the time is not.
This handle and holder cradle has the ev cable pass through it and has a handle on the top, far from the mud. The handle is also big enough to hang on a wall hook to perma store the cable in it.
Dovetails - these are intentionally very very snug, and it is easiest to use a small clamp to press them into place, once they are in they aint coming out.
Printing:
Supports required on the slot pins on the ends of the handle and braces
The left side and left mesh is created by flipping the right side parts in the slicer.
Construction:
The pins on the braces have a small hole in the middle of the body, this is to put in a 20-25mm woodscrew (see picture) which just snugs up the pins and creates a tight fit for them once constructed.
Bowtie the side and the side mesh, use a clamp to press the bowties home and flush
Bowtie the braces and handle
lie a side assembly on a flat surface with the bowties pointing up
slot in the two braces in lower half - see the diagram for the pink sections to help with the placement
slot in the handle - placed high in the side but offset away from the opening
repeat for the other side
screw in (gently) wood screws into the brace pins, these do not need to go deep, only enough to exert a small amount of pressure, i used m3 wood screws 25mm long for this. the handle does not need this
