This is a barrel collet dev kit inspired by previous work by Sillybutts and Redcowl's collets. It combines the best of both worlds and adds some feature updates to address some shortcomings I felt were missing in either design.
The kit is two bodies, the female is to be booleaned to your blaster frontend. The oring is a -016 (metric equivalent: 16mmIDx1.8mmCS) and is optional.

TwiceLock Features

More Range of motion, double security:
Twicelock uses both a 3-jaw collet clamp and a crushed oring. The 3-jaw does most of the work in fatter OD barrel. The o-ring initially assists in friction and only begins to squash to further constrict past the the narrower <15.9mm OD range. This is what gives Twicelock a wide throw of clamping range, with barrel compatibilities from ~16.15mm (eg CBC, Bearals) to ~15.7mm (eg PDT 506, McM 495).

More points of contact:
Cowl/Silly collets only have one funnel-shaped narrow band of contact with the barrel, risking some coaxially misalignment. TwiceLock has 3 points of contact here with collet+oring+choke (there is a tightening ring downbarrel to collet fingers). This makes TwiceLock good as a scar muzzle attachment that will stay straight with barrel.
• Male collet fingers also have wider contact surface and bending deflection on account of being longer.

More thread engagement:
I felt Cowl female threads seemed to terminate before the nut can even bottom out and was too coarse with only one rotation degree of freedom. In TwiceLock, I decreased pitch and extended the thread length so it can now be fully seated flush to provide more 1) security, 2) mechanical leverage, 3) aesthetics.

No o-ring removal to insert barrel:
Silly Collet requires you to remove the nut + oring first then slip the oring on the barrel, just to re-insert the barrel since that oring is captive in a steep funnel-shaped seating face that naturally constricts on insertion. I addressed this by adding captive nubs to constrain oring movement from being dislodged from groove, combined with a shallower angle on the seating face so the oring doesn't roll. You just have to lightly untwist the collet to remove barrel.

Smol:
This is the smallest collet possible at 24mm footprint, and maintains a minimum of 4 walls on both male and female thickness. You can ofc move-face/scale the part to add more thickness, but in my tested has not needed anything more.

Feel free to use this in any blaster in any way, this license is only "noncommercial" to prevent certain bad actors from abusing it. Give me a heads up and I am happy to link your blaster

Changelog:

[2026-07-17]: Minor geometry edits, slightly better oring retention on pullout. "V1.1"
