The cap of the base model was slightly too small to fit the air valve on my bike so I made this remix. I used the occasion to thicken the wall and to make it printable without supports. I originally intended to just do a small extrusion but after a few versions I realised I only kept the threads in the end.
A fusion360 file is available but only for my changes since it is based of the stl of the base model. It can be useful for further remixes however or to see how it was done.
Printing information:
Print the model upright
No supports are needed, but a brim can help imporve bed adhesion as the part is quite small.
I recommend using a random seam to avoid uneven deformations
As a bike can be used in wet conditions, I recommend printing this model in a non-porous filament like PETG (or ASA) to avoid moisture and bacterial buildup.
Note that you can safely ignore the slicing warning about the step file, but you can, of course, ask your slicer to do a simple repair as well. The stl was repaired this way by bambu studio, but there seems to be no difference in printing.
