SimpliSafe only sells their entry sensors in white, which looks out of place on dark window and door frames. These covers slide over both pieces of the 2-part entry sensor — the active side (with the status LED and reset button) and the passive magnetic side — letting you print them in any color or filament finish you like.
Designed for a snug but removable fit: the covers slip on by hand, stay put during normal use, and come off cleanly if you ever need to access the sensor. A pill-shaped hole on the active-side cover lines up with the status LED. No hole is included for the reset button—just pull the cover off to reset and slide it back on; no adhesive needed.
Print Settings
Material: PLA or PETG (PETG recommended for longevity near windows in direct sun)
Layer height: 0.2 mm
Perimeters / walls: 2 (0.8 mm at 0.4 mm nozzle)
Supports: None required
Orientation: Open end down (flat on the bed)
Fit Notes
The interior is sized with 0.3 mm per side clearance over the sensor body. If your printer runs tight, scale X/Y by 101–102% or re-slice with slightly more horizontal expansion. If it’s too loose, try 99%.
