I was surprised to need this adapter. It turns out that the ID (inner diameter) of a flexible duct is too small to mate up to the OD (outer diameter) of a steel external vent leading to the outside of the home. It is particularly difficult to do this attachment perched on a ladder in your ceiling. Print the adapter and the two connect like they were made for each other! I strongly recommend that you print this in TPU. The satin sheet with a glue stick works very well. I used a 5mm internal brim but you may not need it as bed adhesion seemed very good. TPU is ridiculously strong and that little bit of flex lets you tighten your worm gear duct clamp to secure the piece in place in the indestructible fashion as pictured. Enjoy!
