A laser friendly installation template for the Ikea handle, for installing multiple handles at the exact same position.
Requirements
- Laser level
- Self Centering drill bit
- 5 mm Drill bit
Instructions
Set the laser height to the desired centered height. In my case, as there is already a window door, provided with a handle, the center of this handle is used.
Position the template as displayed, use the laser to set the correct height, and check that the 2 notches are in contact with the edge of the door.
Drill the pilot holes with a self centering bit.
Remove the template, open the doors (to avoid drilling into any installed accessory) and drill the final whole with a 5 mm drill bit using the pilot holes.
Printing Instructions
Use a PrusaXL to print in one, or split the design for non XL printers. Use default settings, no supports, any material should do.
