A cutlery tray designed not only for standard cutlery, but also for sharp knives.

You might be familiar with this. You have limited space on your kitchen counter, and a stand for large, sharp knives would simply get in the way. So you decide to store them in a drawer, next to your cutlery. But when they’re just lying there loose, there’s a risk of cutting your fingers while trying to pick out the right one. With this insert, which functions as a modified cutlery tray, that problem is solved immediately. You can easily store plenty of forks, spoons, knives, teaspoons, and other small utensils here, as well as six large kitchen knives.

The dimensions of this insert are 332 mm x 332 mm, so it fits in most standard drawers. If you have a deeper drawer, it’s no problem to adjust the length. However, I don’t recommend narrowing the insert, because the blades of sharp knives might not fit into the prepared groove.

I printed using Aurapol PLA, 0,2 mm layer height, 15% Gyroid infill, 230°C nozzle temperature, 60°C bed temperature, and a speed of 200 mm/s on a Prusa CoreOne Plus. In Prusaslicer, I sliced the model into four parts and printed them flat, just as the model is positioned by default. I then glued the model together with model glue.

If printing the entire cutlery tray seems unnecessary to you or it doesn’t fit in your drawer, you can use my model for five individual kitchen knives:
