These microscope clamps are assembled with M3 x 25mm screws, M3 nuts, and washers. They allow multiple cylindrical USB microscopes of ~35mm diameter to be used to observe the same object at multiple angles or magnifications simultaneously.
These clamps fasten securely to a 16mm diameter pole commonly found on adjustable microscopes. This is accomplished with printed thumbscrews that hold a captive nut, and captive nuts embedded in the arm parts.
A 33mm and 36mm clamp are provided, which will work with +1mm to -3mm expansion/contraction. Additional sizes for variations of pole and clamp can be compiled from the latest OpenSCAD source on github https://github.com/VikOlliver/RepRapMicron/blob/main/pika/microscope_clamps.scad . If building from source, note that files from the library directory are also required.
These clamps are used in the RepRapMicron PIKA micron precision 3D printer.
