This model is only compatible with the Prusa Core One/+/Gen2

Printing tips

-  PETG / ASA / ABS , to withstand the temperatures inside the print chamber. (PLA if that's all you have)

-  NO support with this orientation :

-  Magnet optional :

The trash can works perfectly well without magnet, but if you want a satisfying fit, you can add a magnet.

The magnet-compatible version is designed for magnets with a diameter of 5 mm.

No glue required

However, you can adapt the model to your magnet by creating a "negative volume" (the size of your magnet) using PrusaSlicer : https://help.prusa3d.com/fr/article/volume-negatif_238503

Files

Choose the trash can that is compatible with your version of Core One.

For the Core One +, there are 2 slightly different models (see image above).

These 2 models are available WITH and WITHOUT a Magnet:

  • “CLASSIC Bin”: Provides full access to the bed

  • “EXPERIMENTAL Bin”: Experimental version aimed at directly collecting molten filament from purges (see Improvements section)

Not sure which file to choose?

Download “CLASSIC Bin” based on your version of Core One. It works perfectly and is currently the most convenient option.

Improvement

I wanted this bin to also serve as a purge bucket when changing colors, so that the melted filament is collected directly.

That's why I created the model “EXPERIMENTAL Bin”

But for this model to work properly, the color-change procedure would need to be modified so that the nozzle is moved a few millimeters closer to the window. This would allow the molten filament to fall directly into the bin. (Currently, half the filament falls onto the bed and the other half into the bin.)

Unfortunately, it's very difficult to change this procedure (you have to modify the Buddy Firmware directly)

But if you have the skills and the desire to modify this process to create a highly optimized Core One, go for it !!

This model was designed specifically for that purpose.

Happy printing !!
