Summary

I needed a simple tool to help press small magnets into my custom bed scraper and wanted something strong. (Link down below)

Features

  • Very simple punch

  • Flat sides that can also be used if needed

  • No damge to the punch when used to press small magnets into another tool

Example Print

  • Material: Polymaker Fiberon PA612-CF15

  • Hard Nozzle: 0.4mm @ 290°C

  • Bed: Prusa PA Nylon Sheet @ 110°C

  • Chamber Temp: 50°C

  • Layer Height: 0.2mm

  • Max Volumetric Speed/Flow: 8mm³/s

  • Infill: Default 20% Cubic

  • Brim/Skirt: 5mm outward

  • Supports: Snug, Just to help with bed adhesion and prevent the part from tipping over.

Notes: After printing, I lightly sanded the punch, as raw PA612 CF can have a rough, abrasive texture straight off the printer. I also applied brief, direct heat to both ends using a torch as a form of heat treatment. I do not have any evidence that the heat treat worked but it makes me feel "better" anyway.
