SpoolGrid is a modular drawer organizer designed to give a second life to empty Prusament spools.

Instead of throwing away or storing empty filament spools, SpoolGrid transforms the spool into a compact circular storage system. The original spool sides are reused as the bottom base and top cover, while the printed insert creates multiple drawer compartments around the spool.

The system is fully 3D printed and requires no screws, no glue, no magnets, and no additional hardware. Just print the parts, reuse one empty Prusament spool, and assemble the organizer.

It is ideal for organizing:

  • 3D printer nozzles

  • Heat-set inserts

  • Screws and nuts

  • Electronic components

  • SD cards and USB drives

  • Small tools

  • Bearings, belts, pulleys and printer spare parts

  • Hobby and workshop accessories

The circular layout makes the organizer compact, clean and easy to place on a desk, shelf or maker workspace.
