I needed a way to program multiple ESP8685-WROOM-05 H4 Modules for replacing in smart globes I got that were not compatible with home assistant.
Printed. I used a 1mm drill bit to clean the holes for the pogo pins. If you need a model with smaller holes let me know.
Used silicone wire to connected the FTDI to the pogo pins. Used a Lonely Binary AMS1117. The reason for this is to supply enough current to the ESP so I don't have brownouts. I used a little switch to hold in when powering up to decide if i want it to boot normally or in programming mode.
used washers between 3d printed parts whilst gluing the pogo pins.

I compiled and downloaded firmware from Esphome and then flashed the device using the Esphome web page. Esphome gave me errors with this board. Once it was downloaded I could do OTA updates.
