Simple, customizable patch to repair small holes and cracks in corrugated plastic roofs (e.g., patio or greenhouse roofs).
Attach it over the damaged area using outdoor silicone or transparent outdoor construction tape for a watertight seal.
Default Dimensions
Pitch (Wave Width): 70 mm
Depth / Height: 20 mm
Top / Valley Width: ~20 mm
Thickness: 0.6 mm
Length: 150 mm
Flanges: Left: True / Right: False
Customization
The included OpenSCAD (.scad) file is fully parametric and supports the OpenSCAD Customizer GUI. You can easily adjust the parameters to match your exact roof profile:
PITCH/DEPTH: Change the wave dimensions.RIDGES: Set the total number of wave cycles.LENGTH: Adjust the overall patch length.LEFT_FLANGE/RIGHT_FLANGE: Independently toggle the flat mounting flanges on either side (true/false).
Print Recommendations
Material: PETG, ASA, or PC (UV resistance and high-temperature tolerance are required for outdoor use). Do not use PLA.
Layer Height: 0.2 mm or higher. Since there are no complex details along the Z-axis, higher layer heights yield faster print times.
Infill / Perimeters: Print completely solid (100% infill or high perimeter count) to ensure the part is perfectly watertight.
Brim: Recommended, especially with thin walls.
I've included a few pre-rendered sizes. If you aren't familiar with OpenSCAD and need a specific dimension, leave a comment and I'll be happy to upload it for you!
Happy printing!
