This is an enclosure for the Octopus Pro that powers the Printess bioprinter. I use this to mount the board to the acrylic backplate of the printer.
The case exposes the USB-A and USB-C ports of the board. A holder in the lid secures the power jack for the motors. Three other ports are available for wires.
The same screws that hold down the board to the case in the four corners also secure the board to the printer backplate. Use M3 x 16mm hex socket screws for these. These screws can be accessed with a hex key through the hexagonal hole in each corner of the lid.
The lid itself is secured to the body using eight M3 x 8mm hex socket screws.
There are vents all round the case. For better ventilation and passive cooling, do not obstruct the vents. Route any wires away from the heat sinks on the board. Use the standoffs to create a gap between the bottom of the case and the printer backplate.
Honeycomb motifs inspired by this model which I remixed.
The font on the lid is Nuixyber Pro Original.
