Building a small sandcastle requires starting with a pile of wet sand, which is what I originally designed this bucket for carrying and depositing. Although it is intended for sand, the joints are tight so that this bucket can hold water, although a little will leak slowly. It is also the right size to keep a drink cold, I suppose.
When deployed, the bucket is 8 ¼” tall and 8” across at the top (inside diameter). To collapse for storage, twist the top and middle segments CCW with respect to the bottom segment.

I realized that when collapsed, something needed to hold the pieces together, so I added the ‘Cross’ piece which locks onto the bottom. However, this piece has no effect on the seal or stability of the bucket, so it is optional.

This design requires around a quarter kg of filament and easy assembly (no tools).  Instructions for printing are in the included guide document!
