This separator is designed for the new "AMS Compatible" Atomic Filament Spools. This will NOT work on their older-style spools.

Print in PETG or stronger, with a 0.2mm layer height or better. Print on the higher side of your filament's nozzle range, as this will help with layer adhesion.

Print in the orientation the model comes into the slicer (top-down). Add a Height Range Modifier and then, in that modifier, add an infill change to it. Set the bottom range for the modifier to about 10.1 mm and the top to 40mm. This will strengthen the 3 bosses while not forcing the entire print to be 100% infill.

To use, put the separator in one side and twist till it stops. There is a small hole in the separator to shine a bright light down if you need to see the little toggle on the spool unclamp if you are unsure it has. Repeat for the other side of the spool and twist the spool open.

I have noticed that some Atomic spools are much harder to open than others. I am not sure why this is, but they will come apart with this tool, but might require some extra persuasion.
