Magnetic kitchen knife (or other metal object) holder strip.
Holds 3/8 x 1/8 in (9.525mm x 3.175mm) neodymium magnets.
Not an advertisement or affiliate link, but here are the magnets I use:
Extending the Strip:
To extend the strip, print however many housings you want, n-1 standard covers, and 1 set of split covers
Then offset the covers with one split cover at either end (the standard size covers span two of the housings). See image for example of the setup.
IMPORTANT: If you want to extend the strip, be sure to mount the magnets in alternating positive/negative orientation (e.g., +, -, +, -, +, etc...). If you have all of the magnets in the same orientation, the strips will repel each other at the ends.
