During school I made my own scissor tip covers because while traveling to school my scissors would pole through my backpack. I must have lost 3-4 backpacks to scissor holes. This simple tip cover which can be fixed to the scissor handle using a "twist tie" or rubber band or string keeps the tip cover with the scissors.
When I saw the back to school challenge, I knew this is what I would submit becuase I personally foudn this item extremely useful.
I used the original version for 8+ years on my way to school and back.
Problem the design solves: Sharp scissor pokes through backpack or cuts your hand when digging for supplies.
Requires: I have found a simple up-cycled twist tie from some packaging works best, but a rubber band works well too.
