Eliminate feeding issues when printing flexible filaments! This top-mounted spool system for the K2 Pro allows you to feed TPU directly into the extruder, bypassing the PTFE tube. When printing (softer) TPU you will want to feed directly into the extruder to avoid any friction from feeding it through a PTFE tube.
I am reusing my adapted filament roller from my previous mounting system for the IKEA bror cabinet. The roller is included in this model, but you can find the previous design here: https://www.printables.com/model/1327355-ikea-bror-filamentspool-mounting-system
For keeping the PTFE / Bowden tube out of the way use my PTE tube holder model: https://www.printables.com/model/1830850-k2-pro-ptfe-bowden-tube-holder
Hardware Required:
2x 608 Bearings (Standard skateboard bearings). 3D printed bearing alternatives may work, but standard 608s provide the smoothest rotation.
Assembly:
No screws, no glue, no hassle. The components are designed to slide directly into place for a secure, toolless fit.
Recommended Print Settings:
Walls: 3 perimeters
Infill: 10% - 20%
Supports: None required
Material: PLA, PETG
