Introduction and features

I've designed a protective case for the Flysky FS-X6B reciever. It's suposed to protect the PCB and help with attaching it to the aircraft's fuselage.

The other very important purpose is to secure the antennas from detaching during operation and damaging the reciever. The hole for them is also designed to easily achieve the 90 degrees angle between them.

The top part allows to press the buttons without the need to remove the case or use needles.

I included a solid bottom piece, that is a tiny bit heavier, but does not deform as easily in contact with hot glue.

To save on weight the bottom piece can be used separately.

To close the case you need two 2x8+mm screws and 4mm nuts (usually sold as kits of 2-3mm screws, nuts and washers) . Technically you can use whatever you have, the only limiting factor is the 2mm hole in the PCB.

Pro-tip: Screws that you get with most of the cheap microservos work really well even without nuts, just make sure you won't accidentaly damage your reciever.

Printing

  • Standard quality settings, 0.2mm layer height

  • 0.4mm nozzle

  • NO supports

  • 100% infill

  • Make sure the first layer is flawless (it's important for the readability of the labels)
