My small town hardware store had no tools available for flooring installations, so I had to make my own! I remixed this model to make a stronger and stiffer tool that would last for multiple flooring projects. I printed the original out of PETG but had struggles with it breaking, or snapping along a layer seam.
For printing:
Print this using only PLA, it has superior stiffness against PETG or ABS and will transfer the force of the hammer more efficiently.
Print with 5 walls with a 0.6 mm nozzle, or 7 walls with a 0.4 mm nozzle. Use at least 40% infill. Target having the part weight around 250 grams.
(Trust me it will feel like a brick and the tool will last much longer.)
Use seam painting along the outside edge so the layer seam does not create a weak point in the part.
The part can print on its side with an outer brim for better bed adhesion.
