LOOP EARPLUG DECORATIVE/PROTECTIVE CASES

My earplugs are borning, let me change that.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Select one TOP and one BOTTOM case from the file list below. Mix and match if you want.

  2. Print them w/ PLA, PETG, or another durable filament with standard or better quality settings.

  3. Remove supports, as needed.

  4. Pop your shells over your Earplug case, with the BOTTOM case on the side with the hinge. Make sure to line up the opening hole.

  5. Congrats! Your Earplug case now has whimsy!

NOTES

  • This was made with measurements from a standard Quiet 2 case, and may not fit cases that do not fit Quiet 2 earplugs.

  • Theoretically this would work with a standard nozzle, but I HIGHLY suggest a smaller nozzle for these (around 0.2 or smaller) for added durability.

  • You will probably need supports for the cases, especially the animal ones. For the cleanest finish, use filaments that do not bond to each other and/or print with the supports along the inside of the case.

  • Feel free to make your own creatures! the EDITABLE .step files below will be the most useful for this, as you can directly import them into your CAD of choice. Remix this project and I might try it!

  • You can paint these but I do not recommend it. The paint will scratch off with repeated use, and may leave an unappealing texture.

  • If you want a smoother texture, use acetone. Tutorial Here.

Enjoy your case!
