 🏁 Racing is for everyone!

The ring shifter knob for the Thrustmaster TH8S, built for hands that can't grip.

🖐 The problem: Every shifter knob asks the same thing of you: close your hand around it. But what if you can't? Limited grip strength, reduced hand mobility or missing fingers can turn a simple round knob into the one part of a sim rig that works against you.

 💍 The idea

Take the grip out of the grip. This knob is just a ring. Slide a finger or a thumb through it from the side, and shift: push, pull, left, right. No need to wrap your hand around anything. It can also be used with a simple prosthetic hook or attachment, at the user's own discretion. And if you simply like a minimalist, different feel at the shifter, it works for that too.

🎯 A message to Thrustmaster

This ring knob is more than a contest entry. It's a small proof of concept: a simple, low-cost design made for people who can't grip a standard knob can fit on the official TH8S adapter without any modification to the shifter. My hope is to show that accessibility doesn't require complicated or expensive hardware, and that inclusive accessories can reach a much wider audience of sim racers, whether they have limited grip, a different way of using their hands, or just want something different. Thank you for making this contest possible, and for the open adapter files that made it easy to design for the TH8S.

✨ Why you'll love it

Step file is provided, and it is parametric, just adjust the outer & the inner diameter of the ring, and print it!
